Intencity runs three gaming cafes in Pune. This page explains what we collect about you, why, who we share it with, and how to stop us contacting you.
Who we are
Intencity is one brand run by three businesses, one for each branch:
- Intencity Camp — run by Intencity
- Intencity NIBM — run by iTen eSports
- Intencity Undri — run by Kia Infinity Ventures
Each business is responsible for the details collected at its own branch. For any question about your data, whichever branch you visit, write to hello@intencity.in or WhatsApp +91 92260 06944.
What we collect
- When you register, at the counter or through the sign-up form linked from our website: your name, mobile number, date of birth, username and branch, and a selfie if you choose to add one. At the counter we may also ask for your email address.
- Your ID: a photo of a government or college ID, which you send us on WhatsApp. We use it to confirm who you are and your age, and we keep it because cafes offering internet access are required by law to keep a record of their users' identity.
- When you play: your gaming account records your sessions, time balance, coins, and what you buy, at the counter or from your seat.
- When you pay by UPI, at the counter or by scanning the sticker at your seat: the amount, what it was for, your username and the bank's reference for the payment, so it is added to the right account. Your UPI app, your bank and our payment company handle the payment itself; we never see your UPI PIN.
- When you message us: booking requests and anything else you send to our WhatsApp number.
- Tournaments: the details you enter on an event's registration form.
- On this website: Google Analytics uses cookies to record how visitors use the site, such as pages viewed, device type and approximate location.
How we use it
- To set up and run your gaming account, bill your sessions, and add what you pay for by UPI to your account.
- To check your identity and age, and to keep the record of users the law requires.
- To confirm bookings and reply to your messages.
- To send messages about your visits, such as a booking confirmation or a request for feedback after you play.
- To send offers on WhatsApp: birthday wishes, new games, events, and offers if we have not seen you in a while. Offers go only to customers aged 18 or over.
- To understand how this website is used so we can improve it.
Sharing between our branches
The three businesses share customer contact details with each other so Intencity can work as one brand: one WhatsApp number takes bookings for every branch, and offers reach you whichever branch you play at. WhatsApp messages for all three branches are sent by Kia Infinity Ventures.
Who else handles your details
We do not sell your details. These services run parts of the cafes and this website, and handle data on our behalf:
- GGLeap (ggCircuit): the software that runs our gaming accounts and billing.
- WhatsApp (Meta) and our WhatsApp messaging provider: bookings and messages.
- Cashfree Payments: our payment company for UPI payments at the counter and from your seat. It receives the amount, what it is for and your username, and handles the payment with your UPI app and bank.
- Cloudflare: runs the online sign-up form, which passes your details straight to your branch's GGLeap account system and does not keep them. It also runs our UPI payment pages, which keep a record of each payment (your username, the amount, what it was for and the bank's reference) so it can be added to your account.
- Google: Analytics on this website, Forms for tournament registration, and web fonts.
- Elfsight: the reviews, gallery, Instagram, map and chat widgets on our homepage.
Some of these services store data outside India.
Stopping messages from us
Reply STOP to any WhatsApp message from us and we will stop sending you offers. We will still reply to messages you send us, such as bookings. You can also opt out by writing to hello@intencity.in.
How long we keep it
We keep your account details for as long as you have an account with us. Ask us to delete them and we will, unless the law requires us to keep them, such as tax records or the identity record cafes must keep.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of the details we hold about you, ask us to correct them, or ask us to delete them. Write to hello@intencity.in. If you are not happy with our answer, you can complain to the Data Protection Board of India.
If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page.
